What this measures

The scan reads your top five pages the way an automated system does. It checks whether they can be crawled and indexed, whether the on-page fundamentals are present and correctly sized, whether the content is structured cleanly enough for a language model to quote, and whether there is enough entity and trust evidence for a search engine or AI assistant to be confident about who you are.

Why five pages tells you so much

Websites are built from templates. Whatever is broken on your homepage is usually broken on every page sharing that template, so a deep read of the five that matter most reveals systematic problems far faster than a shallow crawl of two hundred URLs.

What it will not tell you is how you compare against your Penang competitors, what AI assistants currently say about your category, or which pages are worth building next. Those need a human looking at your market, which is what the consultation is for.

Where the scan runs

The console above opens Robin’s scanner at scan.robinooi.com.my with your address already filled in. It is one tool, one scoring model, used across every property Robin runs. That matters more than it sounds: a score is only useful if the same site scanned twice, six months apart, is being measured the same way both times.

Signals

What a foundation scan looks at

AREA 01

Crawlability and delivery

HTTPS, response code, indexability, canonical tags, server response time, payload size and mobile viewport. If this category fails, nothing below it matters yet.

AREA 02

Titles, meta and canonical

Title tag presence and length, meta description quality, Open Graph and social tags, language declaration and character encoding.

AREA 03

Heading and content structure

A single H1, descriptive headings, section depth, heading order, word count, lists and tables, and internal linking. The outline a machine reads before the words.

AREA 04

AI answer readiness

Structured data, schema type coverage, FAQ markup, question led headings, whether the page opens with a direct answer, semantic landmarks, alt text coverage and freshness signals.

AREA 05

Entity and trust signals

Business schema, sameAs profile links, published phone and location, contact and about links, named authorship, secure delivery and policy pages.

After the scan

What to do with the score

  1. Fix the critical items first

Anything marked critical is blocking. An indexability problem or a missing viewport tag makes every other improvement pointless until it is resolved.

  2. Then the high priority items

Usually title quality, heading structure, content depth and missing schema. These are where most Penang sites lose the largest amount of visibility for the least effort.

  3. Run the scan again

Re-scan after changes go live. The score should move. If it does not, the change did not deploy or it did not do what you expected. Keep the scan IDs, they are how you prove the movement.

  4. Bring it to a consultation

The scan tells you what is wrong on the page. Robin tells you what is worth doing about it given your competitors, your market and your budget. Thirty minutes, no charge.

  5. If the score is fine but nothing converts

A good score with no enquiries is a different problem. Seven causes are set out in the piece on traffic without enquiries, and the first two account for most cases.

Questions

About the scan

Is the scan really free?

Yes. No signup, no credit card, no call required. Your score appears on screen the moment the scan finishes. Emailing yourself the full report is optional.

Where does the scan actually run?

On Robin’s scanner at scan.robinooi.com.my. It is the same tool used across every site Robin runs, so there is one scoring model rather than several. Enter your address in the console here and it opens with your site already loaded.

What does the scan actually check?

It reads your pages the way an automated system does. Whether they can be crawled and indexed. Whether the on-page fundamentals are present and correctly sized. Whether the content is structured cleanly enough for a language model to quote. And whether there is enough entity and trust evidence for a search engine or AI assistant to be confident about who you are.

Does it scan my whole website?

No. It reads your top five pages, which is usually enough to reveal how your templates are built and where the systematic problems sit. A full audit across every template and page type is part of a paid engagement.

Why did my site fail to scan?

Usually one of three reasons. The site blocks automated requests, it renders entirely in JavaScript with no server rendered HTML, or it responded too slowly. All three are findings worth knowing. Send the address to Robin and he will check it manually.

Will I get sales calls after running it?

Only if you ask. The score is shown without any email requirement. If you opt in for the full report you will get that report and occasional AI SEO tips, and one click unsubscribes you.
